NOTE:  At my 'beginning' weight, my BMI fell into the 'morbidly obese' category.  By 6 months post-op, my BMI was in the 'overweight' category!  If I reach my goal of 160, my BMI will fall in the 'normal' category!

What the heck IS a "BMI" you are wondering?

BMI stands for Body Mass Index.  It is a measure that determines how overweight a person is.  People with a BMI over 40 may qualify for bariatric surgery.  People who have a BMI of 35-40 may still qualify, if they have co-morbid conditions like sleep apnea, diabetes, etc.
